Healing is Yours

February 2023

I would say that we are aware that sickness, disease, and any bodily malfunction is a part of the curse of this world. I have been referencing Galatians 3:13-14 a lot recently. This is because we have to really get the revelation that Jesus took the curse and got rid of it for us. For a believer the curse no longer has the power or authority to rule in your life. The only power it has, is the power you give it. Let's read again Galatians 3:13-14, TPT, “Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed the curse completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written: “Everyone who is hung upon a tree is cursed.” Jesus Christ dissolved the curse from our lives, so that in him all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon gentiles. And now through faith we receive the promised Holy Spirit who lives in us.” You as a believer in Jesus now live with His inheritance. You no longer have to lay down under the curse, taking whatever circumstances come your way. We are conquerors and overcomers. We already won because Jesus already won. It is no longer a question of who we are and what we have. See Romans 8:37, AMPC, “Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.” You have been made a conqueror in every area of life not just in the area of life after death. So you have been redeemed from the curse and made victoriously healed in the health of your body!

I want you to know that no matter what the doctor has said to you or what stage you may find yourself in, the sacrifice of Jesus is stronger. I have seen real life miracles in the area of health in so many people I know, and even in my own life. You do not have to live with cancer, asthma, pain, migraines, diabetes, deafness, poor eyesight, any mild or terminal disease or sickness. That is not God’s will for you and He did not afflict your life with that to teach you or shape you. The devil is the one that brings sickness and disease. Jesus came to reverse the curse and heal you. Read John 10:10, AMPC, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” When Jesus went to the cross to give His life for ours and absorb the curse and the consequences that we deserved, He specifically took care of sickness and disease with the stripes that He received from the whipping He took upon Himself. We see this two specific times in the Word. First in Isaiah 53:3-5, AMPC, “He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him. Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. [Matt. 8:17.] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.” Then again in 1 Peter 2:24, AMPC, “ He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.” Jesus wanted to make sure that He made a way for His people to live healed in a world riddled with sickness and disease.

If you find yourself in a place where you need healing of any sort, the first thing you need to do is immerse yourself in the Word of God. Because 1.) the Word is what increases your faith (Romans 10:17), and you need faith to receive what Jesus died to give you. And 2.) the Word of God is medicine to your flesh see Proverbs 4:20-22, AMPC, “My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.” You should begin to take the Word like you would take any medicine. Take it three times a day by mouth! Get in the Word, find the healing scriptures and every morning, noon, and night speak them out loud over yourself. You could even do it every time you feel a symptom or become over wrought with bad thoughts. The Word works. Remember it is alive and active and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).

The next thing you have to do is you have to believe that the Word of God takes precedence and is more true than the words of the doctor or diagnosis. The sickness and symptoms may be a fact but Jesus and His Word are THE truth. And there is not one thing in this world that is more powerful than that. But you have to be very careful where you are placing your belief. Is your faith in God’s Word or is it in what the doctor said. I am not saying this is an easy thing to do, but the Bible says we fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12). A really good way to keep your faith in God and not the natural world circumstances is to keep the Word flowing into your eyes and ears constantly. Find some good preachers that speak life and preach healing and get them talking the Word to you 24/7. Wherever you are, play the Word even when you sleep!

Get your faith-filled prayer people praying. Don’t get unbelievers or unbelieving believers talking to you or about your situation. You don’t need their unbelief or their negative words coming your way. Identify those who have your back and only pray faith. If you need some people like that, ask God to bring them to you, and He will. You need people standing strong for you and helping to hold you up in your fight.

You may have been able to guess that I couldn't get through this blog post without telling you TO USE YOUR WORDS! Your words in this are the most important weapon that will move your boat in one direction or the other. Speak about where you want to be and not where you are. If you are believing to be healed then talk like it. Talk like you aren’t sick. Talk like the symptoms don’t exist. Healed people don’t talk and act like they’re sick. You are not denying the sickness is present, you are denying its right to be there. It no longer has any right to be on your body because Jesus abolished the curse of sickness in your life. So tell the sickness to go and the symptoms to cease (Mark 11:23). Then believe that when you have prayed it’s DONE (Mark 11:24). Then bless your body continuously with your words with the Word of God. You also need to praise and thank God that He healed you and that you don’t have to bear it because Jesus did. When you praise it shows the enemy that you’re not going down.

I have seen healing come to pass countless times in my own life and the lives of others. I will give you three from my own life.

  1. A few years ago I had this very sharp intense pain in my left side. Sometimes it would leave me bent over in pain, unable to move for a few moments. I had gone to the doctors multiple times for this and got scans and tests. No one could figure out the source of it. I finally got tired of it and decided it didn't matter why or how it was there, Jesus healed me and I did not have to deal with this. So I did the steps I told you to do. I stopped talking about the pain, I got the Word flowing and spoke the Word over myself. I told that pain it had no right and it had to go. And then one day I just realized I hadn’t felt the pain in a while. And that was that. I’m healed, it’s gone.

  2. I have a stove that has a drawer under it to hold cookie sheets. However, when you turn on the oven this compartment is completely open to flames that heat the oven. I didn’t know this when I first got the stove. I had pre-heated the oven to something high between 425-450 degrees. I had left the oven to preheat extra long. I then opened the drawer and pulled out a cookie sheet without any oven mit on my hand. The sheet had been preheating with the oven. I had immediate pain and pretty badly burned four of my fingers on the one hand. You could see where the skin had been burnt off. I immediately said “no I am not allowing this! Jesus bore my pain and healed my body! I tell pain to get off my body in Jesus Name and fingers be healed!” I put my hand in cold water and for the next half hour stood fighting in faith. When the thoughts of pain and thoughts of “your hand is burnt you’re going to have to deal with this for a while” and “you’re not healed you’re in pain” came, I said back to them “nope that is not my thought, I am healed, by the striped that wounded Jesus I am healed!”. I praised and thanked God for His healing power working now in my body. The fight lasted for about a half hour and that was it. The pain completely left and you couldn't see any burnt or wounded skin! No issues from then on. I had a bunch of home reno projects the next few days following that incident and I completed them with no problems or pain. Praise the Lord!

  3. This last month, my dad had gotten a brain bleed from some medication he was on. In the natural world things were not looking great. He was life-flighted from our local hospital to a better equipped hospital in Pittsburgh. They did brain surgery to remove the blood that had been collected. However, when he woke up after surgery he had symptoms that the neurosurgeons were not necessarily expecting. My dad had lost a lot of use of the right side of his body and he was unable to speak. This was incredibly hard for him to experience and hard for us to watch him walk through. But we didn’t give in and surrender to the natural circumstances. We stood in faith. We prayed in faith. We spoke the Word only, and we praised our God for healing our dad on the cross 2,000 plus years ago. He was in ICU so you were only allowed 2 people to be in with him at a time. So on the second night after the surgery we asked if all five of us in our family could go in and pray with him for 5 minutes. They graciously allowed us and actually let us in there for an hour! We circled around my dad’s bed and spoke life to him from the Word of God. We put the worship song “The Blessing” on and sang it over him. And in the midst of our worship session in his hospital room my dad sang his first words of worship to our faithful Father who always comes through. And not only that, his right arm began to move for the first time! From that night on he only progressed in his health and only 3 weeks after the surgery, he has complete use of his WHOLE body and speaks wonderfully. He is back to work and back to laughing with his family. My God does that kind of stuff.

I could go on and on with more testimonies for you, but please know that it is God’s will to heal. God did not bring this awful sickness or malfunction into your life. Satan is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). If you will venture to believe God and reach out with your hand of faith and receive His free healing. I promise you will live and not die and declare the works of our mighty God (Psalm 118:17). Do not view God and what He will or won’t do based on your past experience or even the experiences of others around you. You have to view Him through the truth of His Word. I believe that He is working in you right now. To close, stand on this promise in Romans 8:11, AMPC, “And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.”

I like to close each teaching with an invitation to salvation for anyone that has not yet welcomed Jesus into their life. Maybe you’ve read this and felt a pull on your heart. Maybe you’re in a place where you just need a solution. If so, this was meant for you and if you’re ready for the “moreness” of God, then believe in your heart and say out loud the following prayer: “Jesus, I repent for my sins, please forgive me for living a life apart from You. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross for my sins and were raised to life again. I confess you as Lord over my life. Take my life and do something with it. And I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name amen.”

It’s as simple as that. Welcome to the family! That is solely the most important decision you will ever make. If you prayed that prayer, please send us an email and let us know. We would love to help get you connected to a Life-filled church in your area and help you get started on your journey of “moreness” with God.
