Pray Your Way Through Ephesians- Eph. 6

April 12, 2024

Welcome back for our final week of “Pray Your Way through Ephesians!” Today we will wrap up this series looking at Ephesians chapter 6. It is a good idea to keep these prayers readily available so you can continue to pray them. We have created downloadable PDFs of each prayer so you can keep them on your phone or computer to refer back to quickly. You can find these under the “more resources” tab on the website. Let’s get started with Ephesians 6.

Ephesians 6 SUMMARY

In this chapter Paul wraps up his letter to the Ephesians. But he leaves it on a very powerful note. This is the chapter that contains the famous, “Armor of God” passage! This is such an amazing thing to pray over yourself and your family DAILY. It is especially powerful for spouses to pray over one another. The armor of God is spiritual armor that we can use in the daily battle field of life. It keeps us protected, focused, strengthened, and victorious over all the plans of the enemy! I love that God thought it important to include this in His Word. Paul also takes the time to express the importance of praying in the spirit often. We need to practice continuously praying in our prayer language throughout each day. When we pray in tongues we are praying God’s perfect will and praying the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. That is a super powerful prayer! Let’s pray the armor of God together below.

Ephesians 6 PRAYER

Father, make me strong in You and in Your power. Right now, I put on the full armor of God, so that I can take my stand today against the devil’s evil schemes. Father, after I have already stood, help me to continue to stand strong in You. I put on the belt of truth so I can withstand the lies of the enemy and resist all temptations. I put on the breastplate of righteousness to guard my heart and to live a righteous life worthy of Christ keeping me in Your secret place. I put on the shoes of peace that keep me ready when fear tries to creep in and so I can stand bravely and courageously in all things. I take up the shield of faith with which I will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked one. I put on the helmet of salvation to protect my mind and thoughts and to keep me operating in the mind of Christ that I have been given. I take up the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God so that I can wield it with my words speaking the truth of Your Word over every circumstance I face. I boldly acknowledge that the Word of my God is alive and active, able to pierce through the division of soul, spirit, joints, and marrow. Further, I ask you to prompt me to pray in the Spirit often throughout the day so I can be on guard even about things I do not know are happening. Keep me alert always and place the people on my heart that you know need girded in prayer. We are one body and we fight for each other! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I truly hope that praying through Ephesians was helpful for you! Ephesians teaches us how to live the Christian life in a successful and victorious way. It doesn’t have to be some super-deep, crazy or new revelation that levels up your life and power through Jesus. It’s in the simple things that make the biggest differences. Remember we have given you downloaded versions of each prayer under the “More Resources” tab so be sure to go grab those! It will make an astounding difference to pray them daily over you and your family. Until next time friends, have a super blessed week!

I like to close each teaching with an invitation to salvation for anyone that has not yet welcomed Jesus into their life. Maybe you’ve read this and felt a pull on your heart. Maybe you’re in a place where you just need a solution. If so, this was meant for you and if you’re ready for the “moreness” of God, then believe in your heart and say out loud the following prayer: “Jesus, I repent for my sins, please forgive me for living a life apart from You. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross for my sins and were raised to life again. I confess you as Lord over my life. Take my life and do something with it. And I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name amen.”

It’s as simple as that. Welcome to the family! That is solely the most important decision you will ever make. If you prayed that prayer, please send us an email and let us know. We would love to help get you connected to a Life-filled church in your area and help you get started on your journey of “moreness” with God.
