This Life of "More"

Blog Post 1 - September 2022

Over the last 4 years I’ve been on the best adventure of my life, finding out the truth of who God is and the “more” that He has in store for me. I’ve gotten to know Him in a more familiar way than I have ever thought possible, and have had the privilege to experience what I call the “moreness” of life that He intended for His born again children to have. That “moreness”, as I have affectionately labeled it, has become the passion of my heart. It’s something that those close to me have heard me go on and on about, because when you experience something so overly good it’s so hard to keep it to yourself. Within the last year, the urgency of the times has been greatly weighing on me. I’ve felt a great need to share the truth of God with people and to share all the more He has in store for you.

First, I want to touch on the idea that God meant for His people to live the good life. Where we get to fellowship closely with our God and experience “way over the top goodness” in every part of life. I want to clear up the confusion that we have to live a life sick, broke, depressed, and just trying to get by like the rest of the world. To tell you the truth, we have been redeemed out of that curse and set apart. This life of “MORE” is sitting, hot and ready on the table waiting for you to grab it. The weeks to follow we will cover the how to’s. How to get it, how to grow, how to maintain it and keep an ever-increasing moreness in life.

As you will quickly come to find out, I believe the Word of God is so essential. It is alive and currently working. So the Word is where we go for answers and to deal with our circumstances in life. The Word is the SEED that produces “all” of everything in our lives. It produces salvation by calling on Jesus, Who is the Word of God Himself. It produces life and health and the transformation of lives. It is the SEED that everything springs forth from.

So let’s take a look at the seed of the Word in the following verses:

Scripture 1:

John 10:10 AMPC: The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

John 10:10 NLT: The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

John 10:10 TPT: A thief has only one thing in mind- he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect- life in it’s fullness until you overflow!

John 10:10 MSG: A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

John 10:10 NKJV: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Scripture 2:

1 John 3:2 AMPC: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and (that your body) may keep well, even as (I know) your soul keeps well and prospers.

1 John 3:2 NKJV: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

1 John 3:2 MSG: …and I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health- that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul!

1 John 3:2 TPT: Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.

Scripture 3:

2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC: And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [a]earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need [b]be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

2 Corinthian 9:8 NKJV: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:8 MSG: God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it,

He throws caution to the winds,

giving to the needy in reckless abandon.

His right-living, right-giving ways

never run out, never wear out.

This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.

2 Corinthians 9:8 TPT: Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough- every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.

2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT: And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

These are just a handful of scriptures that show the exciting news that God truly wants us abounding in every area of life: spirit, soul, body, financially, relationally, IN ALL THINGS. I don’t know where people got the idea that we have to live sick, broke, depressed, living on the struggle-bus like the rest of the world, but I’m not buying that man-made principle anymore. Jesus did not walk this earth sick and broke and without hope, so neither am I. My first point was to break down the lie that we have to struggle to get through this life just to make it to heaven where we can be wealthy and healthy. The Bible says that we can have days of heaven on the earth (Deuteronomy 11:21 KJV). Days of heaven on the earth is living a life full of MORE. More of God, more love, more peace, more joy, more meaning to life, more fun, more health, more wealth, more debt freedom, more life filled relationships, more opportunities, more growth, more learning, more excitement, more strength, more travels, more triumphs, more faith, more anointing, more miracles, more signs and wonders. There’s more for you and me in all things. There’s more to God than you know. And that’s exactly where the “more” springs from, the “moreness” of God. He is the source of everything- Romans 11:26: For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. [For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center in and tend to consummate and to end in Him.] To Him be glory forever! Amen (so be it).

So to wrap up week 1, if you’ve ever thought “there has to be “more” than what I am experiencing right now”. If you’ve ever walked out a heart ache so bad that you thought you would never recover. If you’ve ever needed money to get by or just wanted some extra for fun. If you’ve ever faced sickness, disease or loss. If you’ve ever dealt with fear or anxiety. If you’ve ever had to deal with the after effects of the pile of sin you built up. If you’ve ever just faced something so insurmountable you just did not know what to do. Stay tuned because there is one simple answer that brings all of that to an end. It’s Jesus! He is the most real person I have ever come in contact with. It may seem too good to be true, but I’ve faced each and every one of those things listed and I've been delivered and set free of each situation with a million little miracles to testify about.

I like to close each teaching with an invitation to salvation for anyone that has not yet welcomed Jesus into their life. Maybe you’ve read this and felt a pull on your heart. Maybe you’re in a place where you just need a solution. If so, this was meant for you and if you’re ready for the “moreness” of God, then believe in your heart and say out loud the following prayer: “Jesus, I repent for my sins, please forgive me for living a life apart from You. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross for my sins and were raised to life again. I confess you as Lord over my life. Take my life and do something with it. And I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name amen.”

It’s as simple as that. Welcome to the family! That is solely the most important decision you will ever make. If you prayed that prayer, please send us an email and let us know. We would love to help get you connected to a Life-filled church in your area and help you get started on your journey of “moreness” with God. You can reach us via email at the bottom of each page.
